Restored and writing great, a very clean vintage pen. Parker’s “Big Red” and companion Jr. Duofold more or less started it all in the march away from all black fountain pens. Nearly a century later, ths is still a great writing, great looking writing instrument. You’d be hard pressed to find this quality in a modern pen at nearly the value. This is a magnificent example, fully restored or you to start using today. The pen has no chips, dents, cracks, dings or significant scratches. The cap fits tight. The 14kt nib writes with a smooth fine, leaning toward the medium side when compared to many pens of the day. Some might call it a fine medium point. Parker’s reliable button filler system keeps it full of ink. The pen looks great and writes great. Suitable for any collection, but I wouldn’t be afraid to ink it up and use it.
