Vintage 1947 Restored Parker 51 Fountain Pen. Pen measures 4 13/16 long closed, Demi size, Cedar Blue, firm extra fine point nib reads: PARKER MADE IN U. RU PL 1946 , cap reads: PARKER 1/8 14K GOLD FILLED MADE IN U. Barrel reads: PARKER “51” MADE IN U. 7 , excellent gray pearl cap jewel, appropriate long arrow clip, Vacumatic filling mechanism. This pen was thoroughly cleaned, was micro-meshed, buffed and polished, new diaphragm was coated in talcum powder and installed with water based Vacumatic lubricant, collector was ultrasonically cleaned and looks new, non-hardening rosin thread sealant was added to section threading, nib and feed channels were scraped clean, and the nib tip was shaped and polished to ensure smooth writing. In excellent condition, the cap has no dings or dents, excellent plating other than a tiny area on the very top edge of the cap right before the clip, and the barrel text is getting thin, but readable. Please view the writing sample done on printer paper. This extra fine point nib writes an extra fine that is ideal for a slow to medium writer.
