Vintage 1942 Restored Parker Duofold Fountain Pen. Measures 5 5/16 long closed, Senior Striped Duofold, Dusty Red, mostly firm fine point nib reads: PARKER PEN MADE IN U. 1.., barrel reads: PARKER DUOFOLD MADE IN U. 2.., small-wide-small cap band, middle band engraved: R. Original clip was damaged so I replaced it with a nice first generation 1930’s Vacumatic clip, Vacumatic filling mechanism. This pen was thoroughly cleaned, was micro-meshed, buffed and polished, new diaphragm was coated in talcum powder and installed with water based Vacumatic lubricant, light silicone grease was used on filler threads for ease of future removal, has metal breather tube, non-hardening rosin thread sealant was used on section threading, nib and feed channels were scraped clean, the nib tip was shaped and polished to ensure smooth writing, and pen has been flushed with water. In great condition, nice plastic with only light evidence of usage, light amber translucent ink view barrel, barrel text growing light but readable, excellent clip plating, plating wear to cap bands.
