Featured on the back-center of the base is a tower measuring 5 inches high and 5.5 inches wide. This feature houses an Elgin 8-day clock, which as is typical of these older clocks, is not working. The base has two Duofold Streamline Jr. Pens holders, one for the desk pen and one for the desk pencil. The pen is a burgundy and black Duofold Streamline Jr. In nice cosmetic condition. It comes with a Duofold taper, the cap and blind cap so it can be used as a pocket pen or a desk pen, a combination developed by Parker in the 1920’s. There is minor plating wear on the two cap bands and has the typical plating wear on the ball of the clip. The pen barrel does have a small dimpled divot (pictured). The nib is a 14K Parker Duofold with a fine point and is a good writer. The button-fill pen has been restored with a new pen sac. The pencil is a matching burgundy and black with an uncommon taper that functions as a letter opener. The pencil is in working order.
