For Sale: Vintage “Franken-fold” marbled celluloid, flat top fountain pen in fully restored condition. If you can identify the pen by the material, section profile or lever box, please drop me a note. The pen had a penetrating side mounted pocket clip that went missing and I assume there was no finial on top. At that point the pen would have been about as long as a Senior Duofold. At some point someone swapped in the Duofold 14K nib and “Christmas tree” feed. What appears to be a Duofold finial/inner cap was machined into the top of the cap and the Parker Duofold clip was added. When I received the pen I filled the open holes in the cap left from the original pocket clip mounting, buffed out the cap and barrel and tuned the nib. Condition Details: The pen has been fully buffed to a restored finish with only. Micro-scratching remaining, not affecting appearance without magnification. The gold plating is in excellent condition with no brassing. Production Years: This pen is a mystery to me. Its styling is from the 1920s. Special Features: This pen is plus-sized-oversize (Larger than a Senior Duofold), light and well balanced; exceptionally smooth and wet writing. This pen is a real kick to write with.
