VINTAGE PARKER 51 Set; Fountain Pen & Pencil. Both date coded 1950. The “Signet” brand was launched in 1948 when Parker first introduced its Aerometric (squeezebox) filling system. Our set comes from the year 1950, Fountain Pen & Pencil, both Pens are date coded & adorned with Parker “jewel” on cap top, 14k Gold Filled Finish Cap & barrel alternating pattern of three parallel lines and smooth panels. Aerometric Filler, Cap lip is marked “Parker 1/10 14K Gold Filled” while the barrel is marked “Made in USA & 5.0 (date code)”. Until mid-1950s Parker stamped the date of manufacture on the pen barrel – just below the clutch ring. This particular example has the code number 5.0 strands for 1950, therefore it is considered to be one of the early signet production sets. Actuated Cap, Clutch type mechanism, lead gets advanced by pressing downwards on the cap end. Both Pens show no Cracks or Splits. Please see other items available on our shop.
