Vintage 1951 Parker 51 Dove Grey Fountain Pen, GT, 1/10 12K R Gold Cap, Box. Scarce early 1951 Parker 51 Aerometric fountain pen with rare Dove Grey body, 1/10 12K Rolled Gold Insignia cap gold clip and light grey jewel. Cosmetic condition is excellent for its age! Excellent cosmetic condition for its age. Dove grey body, 1/10 12K Rolled Gold Insignia Cap with gold clip and light grey jewel. No cracks that I can see. Barrel is stamped at the top “Parker Made in England 1″. This dates it to 1951. The Rolled Gold cap is excellent with just a few light surface marks, a tiny spot of brassing near the top and a tiny ding under the tip of the clip. It is stamped Parker 51 1/10 12Ct R Gold. The gold clip is a firm fit and straight. Light Grey jewel is perfect. The nib is gold and looks to be in near perfect condition. Dip tested and it writes nicely (see photo of writing sample). It looks to be a size fine. Aerometric filler in excellent condition and operates properly. Comes in a Parker box in near perfect condition. Measures approx 13.7 cm.
