I have up for sale a wonderful vintage original c1946 Parker 51 Single Jewel Fountain Pen with what appears to be a Dark Blue Barrel Body and Metal chrome cap section with Blue Diamond enamel. The filling system has a plastic plunger – its untested. The jewel is a silver grey imo. Please view the pics to help determine the color. I do not think that its black, appears a dark blue to me. The pen with the cap seated for storage measures approx 5-3/8″ and 5-7/8″ with the cap in the writing position. The date code is imprinted with what looks like T6 with No Dots beneath which indicates the quarter of the year – not sure what quarter to be exact. The T is commonly thought to mean that parts were made in Toronto Canada, but I have read that there are a few different theories on this but not any definitive answer. I have provided lots of information and nice pics. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics.
